I’m nearing the end of a wonderful week off of work, and I’m happy to share a quick project that I whipped up during my time away from my inbox and cubicle. My friends Tif and Jeff are expecting a little bundle of joy literally any minute now, so I wanted to make them a fun, modern-looking quilt as a gift. They were pleased as punch when I gave it to them last night!
I was inspired by a triangles quilt I’d seen on the Folk Fibers website and wanted to try making one of my own. A baby quilt was a great way to try out this technique because it is so tiny (approximately 30″ x 40″) and the quilt itself came together in a matter of hours! For anyone planning to make a baby-sized quilt, I would totally recommend using it as an opportunity to experiment and try something new!
How’s that for a productive stay-cation? :)
