With the Handmade Holiday craft show tomorrow, Jordynn and I have been a couple of busy bees getting prepared — sewing mystery bags, making signage, decorations, not to mention putting the last touches on our lovely Sewing School sewing table. One of the things I’m most excited about are these amazing business cards that Sewing School’s graphic design department (ie. Jordynn) came up with this week. Behold:
Cute, eh? It was really important to us that our business cards were very clear about what Sewing School is — I know that I’ve picked up business cards from craft shows before, and totally forgot what they were for because the card doesn’t say. We loved the idea of making a business card that had some kind of useful information on it, and we also wanted to make a few different versions of our card…
- On the reverse of the first version, there’s a link to our market bag tutorial, as well as a handy list of all the notions that are needed.
- On the back of the next version, you’ll find step-by-step instructions for how to replace a button… (this is just a preview of the REPAIR BASICS zine that we’ll be selling at the show!)
- The last version of our card is my favourite — it features our super cute anatomy of a sewing machine diagram.
